Taiwan shares higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.09%



Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the gained 0.09%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Danen Technology Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 2.60 points to trade at 28.60 at the close. EZconn Corp (TW:) added 10.00% or 40.50 points to end at 445.50 and Taiwan Chelic Corp Ltd (TW:) was up 9.99% or 4.45 points to 49.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) declined 9.83% or 0.23 points to end at 2.11 and King’s Town Construction Co Ltd (TW:) shed 9.19% or 12.50 points to 123.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.22% or 0.16 to $71.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $76.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 6.20 to trade at $2,541.30 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.09% to 31.96, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.10.
