Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Advancetek Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:) added 10.00% or 6.50 points to end at 71.50 and Bestec Power Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) was up 10.00% or 2.35 points to 25.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Onano Industrial Corp (TW:), which lost 9.92% or 4.90 points to trade at 44.50 in late trade. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Chia Ta World Co Ltd (TW:) shed 6.70% or 1.80 points to 25.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $71.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.70 to trade at $2,586.80 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.23% to 32.55, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.63.
