There are hundreds of bakeries south of Boston, and it can be hard to choose which ones to frequent. From Brockton, Norton, and Easton to Hanover and Bridgewater, we’ve found the best donut shops in and around Brockton, according to reviewers on Yelp.
Pull on those sweatpants and check these five, must-visit bakeries off your foodie bucket list this season.
The Beanery on Washington (Easton)
Have you been hankering for Donut King‘s famous, award-winning donuts? Now you can try them closer to home at this retro-style, cozy coffee shop, located at 181 Washington St. in North Easton. The Beanery on Washington recently started serving freshly delivered donuts from Donut King, starting at 7 a.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m., Saturday and Sunday. Check out available flavors and order pick-up or delivery from their online menu. Donuts range from around $3 to $5.

Better Grains Bakery (Norton)
Located at 238 Reservoir St. in Norton, Better Grains Bakery is run out of executive pastry chef Kari Anderson’s own personal gluten-free kitchen. Order a variety of donuts — including gluten-free versions of seasonal favorites like pumpkin spice and apple cider, via phone (508-944-6798), email (bettergrainsgf@gmail.com), or through their website (all donuts are 4 for $9). Each order is usually ready for pickup within two days.
“The items I have ordered have been absolutely delicious! It’s so hard to find good gluten-free baked goods, it’s like I have found a local hidden gem,” wrote one reviewer on Yelp. “The apple cider donuts were awesome, and my non-gluten-free husband even loved them,” wrote another.
Guilty Bakery (Hanover)
Every Saturday, Guilty Bakery, located at 962 Washington St. in Hanover, offers creative, themed batches of handmade donuts. Donut batch themes have included breakfast cereal, girl scout cookies, and “forgotten resolutions” (potato chip, candy, or strawberry champagne flavored donuts). Check out their Instagram for each week’s theme. Saturday’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Supreme Coffee and Donuts (Brockton)
Supreme Coffee and Donuts is a locally owned donut shop with two locations in Brockton, one at 741 Crescent St. and another at 1284 Main St. A variety of specialty donuts ($2.37 for one, $11.17 for a half-dozen, and $21.45 for a dozen), and donut holes ($2.59 for a half-dozen and $4.30 for a dozen) are made fresh daily. Flavors include Oreo, smore’s, Reese’s cup, maple bacon, Fruity Pebbles, and of course, apple cider.
“The donuts are amazing, freshly made every day. Every detail down to the frosting you can taste good quality ingredients,” wrote one reviewer on Yelp. Supreme Coffee and Donuts is open Monday through Saturday, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sweet Kneads Bake Truck (Bridgewater)
“No need to go to Boston or Providence for amazing donuts. Sweet Kneads Bake Truck is a hidden gem in Bridgewater,” wrote one reviewer of this popular food truck on Yelp. Located at 60 Hale St. in Bridgewater, in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Citizens Club, this food truck makes fresh donuts right before your eyes. Stop by on your way to work for classic flavored donuts, like old fashioned, chocolate, strawberry frosted, or glazed ($1.75), or try their seasonal flavors like apple cider and pumpkin glazed ($2). Grab a dozen for the entire office (or who are you kidding, for yourself) for $15. Make sure to check their Instagram for their daily hours and flavors.
