CARDIFF SKI CENTRE: Only ten minutes from the Welsh capital, the Cardiff Ski & Snowboard Centre, built in 1969, was one of the first dry slopes in Great Britain.

Today it offers fun for all levels of skiers and boarders, lessons on its outdoor slope and fun super tubing rides.
