The producers are negotiating with Jack Paglen to write the script for the new installment. Further, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lee Stollman, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen who are associated with the production of the original trilogy will also be producing this new series. It has been reported that Wes Ball who directed the movie will be back as a producer in this new series.
Storyline
There is no further information pertaining to the storyline or even the date on which the production will begin. It has been learnt that this series will be slightly different from the previous production. One would need to wait for the script to be written and production to begin to get more information.

After a deadly pandemic hits the world, some teenagers who survived the pandemic arrive in a walled settlement. They suffer from memory loss. This walled settlement is called the ‘Glade’. Beyond these four walls lie a maze filled with some mechanical creatures and doors that close every night after the sunset. It is one individual who has figured out a way and the secrets in this settlement. Will he be able to protect the group?
The original series had Dylan O’Brien and Kaya Scodelario in the lead roles. The casting for this new venture is yet to be carried out.
