These 9 midcap mutual funds deliver over 30% SIP returns in 5 years



Nine mid cap mutual funds have offered more than 30% return on SIP investments in the last five years. There were 23 mid cap funds in the market in the mentioned time period.

Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund offered the highest return on SIP investments of around 39.83% in the last five years. A monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 in this scheme would have been Rs 15.74 lakh now.

Nippon India Growth Fund offered 33.35% XIRR on SIP investments in the mentioned time period. The same monthly SIP in this scheme would have been Rs 13.55 lakh now. Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund gave 33.27% XIRR on the same SIP investments.

Quant Mid Cap Fund gave an XIRR of 33.17% on SIP investments in the mentioned period. A monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 in this scheme would have been Rs 13.49 lakh now.


The largest mid cap fund based on assets managed, HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund, gave an XIRR of 32.94% on SIP investments in the same time period. The monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 would have been Rs 13.42 lakh now.Mahindra Manulife Mid Cap Fund and Sundaram Mid Cap Fund gave an XIRR of 31.82% and 30.28% respectively in the mentioned period.Also Read | 16 equity MFs deliver over 30% CAGR in 3 years

Invesco India Midcap Fund gave an XIRR of 30.26% on SIP investments in the last five years. The second largest mid cap fund based on assets managed, Kotak Emerging Equity Fund, gave an XIRR of 30.09% in the same time period. A monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 would have been Rs 12.55 lakh now.

The other mid cap funds gave an XIRR ranging between 22.83% to 29.26% on SIP investments in the mentioned period. These schemes turned Rs 10,000 monthly SIP between Rs 10.55 lakh to Rs 12.31 lakh now.

We considered all mid cap funds. We considered regular and growth options. We calculated XIRR between October 2019 to October 2024.
