THREE sneaky ways to avoid queuing at the airport have been revealed from pre-ordering meals to choosing the left security lane.
Many travellers dread congested airports particularly in the summer months when they can become congested.
However it seems some travellers are able to reduce their exposure to long queues with a few simple tricks.
Now travel experts at Skyscanner have identified three hacks to beat the dreaded queue at airports all over the world.
Pre order meals
Many airports allow you to order a meal for you to eat before you board an aircraft. Queues at airport restaurants can be a problem, particularly during peak months.
So its worth spending time on an airport website to try and reserve a table and order a meal before you arrive.
The right lane
Savvy travellers often use the check-in line closest to the business travel desk.
Once the business travellers have all checked in, their staff would normally start checking in economy travellers. So its always best to be near the business class lane.
Holidaymakers have been warned that they could be prevented from entering certain countries, even if their passport still hasn’t expired.
In fact, some countries will not allow people to enter with as many as six months remaining before their passport is due to expire, while other countries won’t let you in with three months left.
That’s why experts at Travel Republic are advising travellers to check when their passport is due to expire, as well as the rules for the destination they’re heading to.
Gemma Brown, Head of Commercial and Travel expert at Travel Republic warns: “Many UK travellers are still unaware of the various passport validity rules that could cut their trips short, with the 6-month passport rule being the most common.
“A passport is usually valid for 5-10 years and because of this, many simply forget to check when they expire before booking a holiday.
“It’s important to make this check as most countries will not allow you to travel if your passport has less than three or six months before expiration.
