After an extended legal and political battle, the widely-used video-sharing platform TikTok made a comeback on Apple’s US App store. After going offline in January, Chinese App Tik Tok started working in US nearly after a month. It reappeared on Apple’s US App Store on Feb 13 after US President Donald Trump postponed its ban until April 5. In remarks to reporters on Feb 13, Trump told that he hopes to secure a TikTok deal while crediting the app for his 2024 election win. Trump believes Chinese President will approve TikTok’s US sale, seeing it as beneficial for China as he promised to make the deal ‘worthwhile’ .The move allows the Chinese-owned app, used by 170 million Americans, to resume operations weeks after going dark. However, TikTok has yet to comment on its return to the US Apple App store.
