DISCOVERING a new city is always fun – especially if cheap hotel rooms are involved.
Travelodge has plenty of budget-friendly rooms across the country, including the most famous hotspots for a city break without flying abroad.
The budget-friendly hotel chain has more than 580 properties across the UK, more than 130 of which are in major cities.
In fact, there are 61 Travelodge hotels in London and 15 in Birmingham.
That’s followed by Liverpool, Edinburgh and Manchester, which have nine hotels.
There are also six Travelodge hotels in York, Glasgow and Cardiff.
We’ve also revealed a little-known, totally free method to find the cheapest Travelodge rooms.
To begin, select your destination using Travelodge’s recently released “price finder” tool.
After deciding on a location, you can narrow your search by cost, room types, breakfast, and parking accessibility.
Additionally, the hotel chain is offering new early bird discounts, allowing you to book your stay up to 355 days in advance.
Here are some of the best deals we’ve spotted for a city break:
At Travelodge, an unlimited breakfast starts at £8.99, with two under-16-year-olds eating for free with every paying adult.
Hash browns, eggs, sausages, beans, and beverages are among the cooked options for the unlimited breakfast deal.
There are healthy snack options, such as yoghurt, fruit, and pastries, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Travelodge is refurbishing over 130 hotels with ”next-generation” rooms, stylish bar cafés and redesigned lobby areas this year.
Sixty hotels, including ones in Manchester, London, and Liverpool, and Edinburgh, underwent renovations last year.
The rooms have been remodelled with new armchairs, USB chargers next to the beds, and blackout curtains.
For even more deals, Premier Inn has thousands of rooms from £35 this year and kids eat for free.
We’ve also found seaside breaks during the May half-term from £8pp a night.
Alternatively, if you’re willing to travel further, we rounded up TUI’s best-rated waterpark hotels with all-inclusive holidays from £493pp this summer.
