Active rigs drilling for oil and gas in the U.S. fell by 1 to 582 in the latest weekly report from Baker Hughes, the count’s fifth decline in the past six weeks.
Drilling rigs targeting crude oil in the U.S. remained unchanged at 483 in the week ended September 6, while gas rigs dropped by 1 to 94 and 5 rigs were classified as miscellaneous.
Rigs targeting oil in the Permian Basin added 2 to 303, while rigs in the Eagle Ford stayed flat at 42.
