Investing.com – U.S. equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in NYSE, the gained 0.09% to hit a new all time high, while the index climbed 0.40%, and the index gained 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:), which rose 1.47% or 0.33 points to trade at 22.77 at the close. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) added 1.23% or 2.85 points to end at 235.00 and Honeywell International Inc (NASDAQ:) was up 1.13% or 2.47 points to 222.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included American Express Company (NYSE:), which lost 3.15% or 8.99 points to trade at 276.79 in late trade. Merck & Company Inc (NYSE:) declined 0.96% or 1.05 points to end at 108.70 and Nike Inc (NYSE:) shed 0.58% or 0.48 points to 82.92.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 11.10% to 763.98, Lamb Weston Holdings Inc (NYSE:) which was up 10.17% to settle at 78.22 and Intuitive Surgical Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 10.00% to close at 521.10.
The worst performers were Bunge Limited (NYSE:) which was down 6.33% to 89.55 in late trade, CVS Health Corp (NYSE:) which lost 5.23% to settle at 60.34 and Cigna Corp (NYSE:) which was down 4.85% to 336.00 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were TuHURA Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 2,824.79% to 6.30, S&W Seed Company (NASDAQ:) which was up 1,603.70% to settle at 3.22 and Bright Minds Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 117.56% to close at 47.21.
The worst performers were NKGen Biotech Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 42.89% to 0.40 in late trade, Orgenesis Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 33.86% to settle at 2.11 and bioAffinity Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 33.80% to 1.41 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1549 to 1236 and 98 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1814 rose and 1465 declined, while 126 ended unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.06% or 28.70 to $2,736.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.83% or 1.29 to hit $69.38 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.72% or 1.28 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while USD/JPY fell 0.47% to 149.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.29.
