Is Harris losing support of Independents?
Last seek, Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. resigned from his Presidential ticket and joined forces with Republican candidate and former US President Donald Trump, which was not a major surprise as his team was already in talks with the Republicans. According to reports, the latest YouGov survey around the Independents was conducted between August 25 to August 27 varying around 1,555 people and has a error margin of 3.2 percent.
However, what most did not anticipate was the major chunk of Independent voters also shifting towards Donald Trump, after RFK Jr. endorsement. YouGov has finally brought this matter to light in a major way and even though Harris is widening her lead across the United States, she is falling behind when it is coming to the Independents.
Harris penetrating battleground states
Even though Trump has begun capturing the Independent voters, Harris is steadily pushing deep into his battleground states‘ vote base and surveys reveal that she has begun consolidating her position there too, which was looking very unlikely at first, under circumstances of Harris entering the poll race pretty late, and that too after the resignation of a reigning President, aiming for a re-run.
