The high school spring sports season came to an end two weeks ago.

As the summer heat rages on, let’s take a snapshot of the 2024 softball campaign. As All-Scholastic lists will be published in due time, votes came in waves for our Postseason Player of the Year poll.

Middleboro High’s Taylynn Robinson collected 31,600 fan votes (47% of the overall poll) to earn the honor.

The freshman catcher maintained a .413 batting average, hit two home runs and drove in 18 RBIs for the Sachems (13-6), who earned the No. 12 seed in the Division 2 bracket. She led Middleboro with team-highs in slugging (.667), on-base percentage (.493), OPS (1.160), hits (26), doubles (6) and triples (2), while striking out just five times in 73 plate appearances.

Also filling out the final results, Silver Lake’s Anna Craft (24,106 votes), Abington’s Elsie Testa (5,558 votes) and Silver Lake’s Delaney Moquin (4,930 votes) received significant support.
