The annual game is set to return to the home of the Big Mac on September 4 and promises players everything from cash to free food.

Those who wish to take part in the Monopoly game collect stickers from their food packaging that represent train stations or colour coordinated road names – much like the classic game.

But not all menu items are worth the same amount, and this determines how you redeem a prize.

For example, instant win food prizes can be redeemed at any McDonald’s branch by handing the token over at the counter when you order.

You’ll need to hand the game pieces over to a member of staff when you collect your meal.

There are thousands of prizes to be won including £100k in cash and an electric car.

What are the rare McDonald’s Monopoly pieces in 2024?

The rarest Monopoly piece is Mayfair with only five of these stickers up for grabs.

Four of these much desired Mayfair stickers will be concealed in your favourite food packaging, and one will be hidden on the app as part of the Double Peel game.

If you are interested in playing and manage to get your hands on this specific sticker then keep a close eye on it.

This is because you can win £100k if you find one.

The Sun recently published a whole piece on the rare sticker here

Up next is Regent Street , which is green in colour.

Only 21 people will have a chance to get their hands on this piece.

McDonald’s confirmed 20 of these stickers will be on menu items, and one will be on the Double Peel Game.

Everything you need to know…

If you get one of these you could win an MINI Electric car.

McDonald’s is also giving away a holiday worth £2,000 with Jet 2 as part of the game.

To win this you must find the Leicester Square piece, which is yellow.

Only 80 of these stickers are in circulation, so if you find one it might be worth holding on tight to it.

A total of 75 of these pieces will be hidden on the fast-food giant’s menu items and five will be on the app based game.

The Double Peel game lets users peel another sticker every time you earn yourself a property in the McDonald’s Monopoly game.

Once you’ve purchased an item and peeled a sticker, you need to head to the McDonald’s app and bank a property by scanning the sticker.

What other rare pieces should you look out for?

How to save money at McDonald’s

You might not think it, but you can end up being charged more solely based on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald’s receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you’re ordering McDonald’s to your home too.

Our research found some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.
