Located in Disneyland Paris, the hotel closed in March 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

While other parts of the theme park safely reopened, a huge hotel refurbishment was announced in April 2021.

From next month, Disney fans will be able to “experience an immersive journey into Disney royal stories coupled with unparalleled hospitality, fine dining venues and uniquely Disney entertainment” at the renovated hotel.

According to the Disneyland Paris website, every inch of the hotel has been reimagined, right from the hotel’s lobby to all its rooms and suites.

The Disneyland Hotel has been transformed into a fairytale kingdom where children will feel like they’re kings and queens through “refined, storytelling décor and magical touches that will surprise and delight the whole family”.

Disney royal classics like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and The Sword in the Stone, will be celebrated in the new designs.

Other, more recent, hits like Moana, The Princess and the Frog will also be given their own magical moments too.

Guests staying at the hotel will be met by a Royal Greeter, while Story Keepers will walk guests through all the incredible details and hidden gems of the hotel.

The hotel will have a regal-themed lobby, and guests will be treated to unique entertainment in the hotel’s restaurants, bars, and lounges.

Iconic Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie will be present throughout the hotel where they will provide guests with immersive experiences, including special mealtimes and opportunities to interact, through story-telling and sing-songs.

One of the main places guests can enjoy those experiences will be the new banquet hall, where special meals with Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be hosted.

The pair will be clad in all-new costumes, designed especially for the new hotel.

There will also be a troupe of actors putting on a new show called “La Troupe Royale Disney” which has also been created especially for the resort.

Meanwhile, The Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière restaurants will provide guests with a unique gourmet dining experience.

There will also be plenty of other treats for younger guests, including the Royal Kids Club, which has been reinvented as a “magical and interactive library” where kids can unlock Disney stories through augmented reality.

Younger guests can also be transformed into their favorite Disney royalty at the Royal Dream Experience, with the help of regal hairstyles, special outfits, and other accessories.

An exclusive hotel called the Castle Club will also feature inside the hotel.

Inside the Castle Club, guests will be treated to a range of VIP benefits and services, including a private elevator and check-in area.

There’s also a breakfast with Disney Princess Characters in the Castle Club Lounge.

The Disneyland Hotel will have 487 rooms and suites, with 346 Superior Rooms, 82 Deluxe Rooms, 41 Castle Club Rooms, 16 Signature Suites, 1 Princely Suite and 1 Royal Suite.

Disney artwork will feature in each of the rooms and suites too.

Other features of the hotel include a spa and a brand-new swimming pool.

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, said: “This marks a new chapter for Disneyland Paris, as we continue to be one of the leaders of the European tourism industry with our unique blend of immersive storytelling and world-class hospitality.”

This isn’t the only exciting new Disney destination opening soon.

Lighthouse Point will be the second private island for Disney, which they are opening following the success of Castaway Cay.

Located in the Bahamas, the island will be served exclusively by Disney cruises.

Despite Lighthouse Point being first announced in 2019, the island retreat will finally open to holidaymakers in 2024.

Earlier this year, Disney announced its first-ever cruise that will set sail from the UK.

The Disney Dream cruises will offer three, four, five, and seven-night voyages departing directly from the UK in 2024.

Meanwhile, this Disney cruise has a kids’ club so good, that even the adults want to join in on the fun.

Here’s a first look at the new Disney Treasure Cruise launching next year.
