Woman reveals the five reasons why Brits should book a winter break to Tenerife – & it’s not just for warmer weather

A WOMAN has revealed five key reasons Brits should book their flights to Tenerife this winter – and it’s not just because of the weather.

The Canary Islands are the closest sunny destination to home and almost guarantee a large dosage of vitamin D during the biting winter months.

Influencer @fleureleanorgreen took to TikTok to break down why sun-seekers should get their passports ready.

Fleur tells her followers that “it is still very hot currently in October”, with recent temperatures creeping above 30C.

For adrenaline junkies, Tenerife’s water kingdom Siam Park “is far less busy”, allowing revellers to “go on the rides more with less waiting time”.

Visitors with a passion for wildlife can also enjoy an unrushed visit to the island’s monkey park, which again attracts fewer tourists during the winter period.

Renting a car is a popular choice for many who fly into Tenerife Sur airport.

However, “there are always taxis available” for those who choose not to.

Fleur concludes that jetting into Tenerife during the quieter part of the year means you “don’t need to book tables at restaurants and bars” – you can simply rock up.

Viewers flocked to the comments to reveal their plans to unwind on the idyllic island.

“We usually go in November as it’s hot then,” one user began.

“This year we’re going for Christmas.

“Costa Adeje is my favourite place ever.”

Another weighed in: “I’m going on 29th December, I can’t wait to spend New Year in the sun.”

Thankfully, Brits aren’t short on options if they want to soak up the sun during the winter.

Not only that, but just a few hours by flight are destinations with no time difference to get used to.

Even those that are just a few hours behind the UK are still just a short flight away – and you won’t get any jet lag either.

We’ve rounded up the best jet lag-free destinations for some last-minute winter sun.
